Physical activity is an established treatment to reduce fatigue and stress. Expert consensus opinion, via a workshop on 17th April 2018 and subsequent online evaluation, was sought and relevant published literature(1–3) was reviewed to achieve consensus on the underlying mechanism helping to explain why physical activity can help reduced fatigue and stress).

Conclusion
There is a strong recommendation from a consensus of experts that physical activity can reduce fatigue and stress in patients with IHD but the supporting evidence behind this mechanism is of low quality
