I think it is unlikely I will keep up activity long-term, so I don’t see the point in starting

It is worth discussing the overall benefits of exercise with your doctor, specialist nurse or physiotherapists so you can make a decision about how important exercise is to you. When people start to exercise, their confidence that they can continue to be physically active is improved, so you may change your mind about long-term activity if you make a start!

Make it sociable – being active with family of friends makes it more likely you will continue to be active.
